"The Christian community in Lucknow and, in fact all over U. P., celebrated in an unique way and for the first time in history, an on-line Easter Service. The traditional services of the -Blessing of the New Fire,
-the Procession with the lighted Easter Candle,
-the solemn singing before the people the ancient hymn called *Exultet* in praise of the Easter Candle as the symbol of the Risen Christ,
- the Holy Communion, -the Blessing of the Baptismal Water, were all dropped because of the lock down.
In their place a simple ceremony of lighting the Easter Candle, the Renewal of the Baptismal Promises and the Eucharist and Prayers, especially asking God to rid the world of the Corona Pandemic, by the Bishop and a few priests, all residents in the Church compound, were held.
The entire ceremony was live -streamed through YouTube into the homes of members. All people were asked to stay at home and join spiritually in the Easter Rituals beamed online.
A second Holy Mass, likewise live streamed, was held on Easter Sunday morning, especially for those who could not participate in the previous night's transmission of the Divine Services.
